VLC player

vlc-media-player-v0-9-9The vlc media player is one of the most widely used audio and video players. it is a highly portable multimedia player and capable of reading most audio and video formats like the mp3, aac, ogg and so on. It can also be used as a media converter or a server to stream in uni cast n IPv4 on networks. The vlc player is easy to use and can be operated by even the most basic users. It is supported by all the operating systems like windows, Linux etc. It can read various video input types like mpeg, divx, cinepak, theora, wmv, avi, 3gp, flv and so on. This player mostly preferred above the other players such as even windows media player, winamp, real player because it has codecs for most of the formats available on the net  and happens to be very user friendly. The vlc player has a menu bar with the following options Media , Audio, Video, Playback, Play list, Tools, Help. So you can see it happens to be very user friendly. The media option has many other functions such as opening a video file. It even has the option of streaming videos online. It also can convert video types from one format to the other. The audio option allows the user to select the visualization and the audio devices and channel to enhance the effect. The video option allows the user to select from the various options given in the movie that is being watched.the user can even add the subtitle track using it. The vlc player is widely recognized as the best player mainly due to its easy to use.

Android OS

android_3-200-200Android is the Operating System technology for mobile phones which runs on Linux kernel.  This was first introduced by Android Inc  and this firm was later taken over by Google and then by  OHA(Open Handset Alliance)  which is  a business alliance consisting of more than 50 firms like Google, HTC, etc. Android is made open source and its entire source code has been released. It supports software packages written in Java language. It has Dalvik virtual machine used for executing for supporting Java.  It is embedded with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CDMA and GSM technologies. The Android OS has web browser which is based on Web Kit application framework.  It uses SQLite data base for data storage and retrieval. It supports almost all widely used media formats like H.263, H.264, WAV, MIDI, etc. They also support camera and touch screen (the latest models also support multi-touch screens). Android include a variety of developer kits like debugger, emulator, tutorials, etc.  Eclipse is the officially supported IDE. There are also many Google applications that are supported by Android like Sky Maps, Google Voice, Google Maps, etc. It supports 3 Dimension, 2 Dimension and VGA graphics which are based on Open GLES 1.0 specification. Since Android OS is similar to Linux OS, it is very difficult to hack it.
